Grodek Tries to Induce, Instead Chops With Vaka

Evgenii Ushakov raised from middle position to 2,200 and got called by Stanislaw Grodek in the hijack, Razvan Sabau in the cutoff, Monica Vaka on the button, & Ildar Tashliyev in the big blind.
All five players checked the J♣2♥A♠ flop to the 5♦ turn, where Tashliyev checked and Ushakov fired 2,500. Grodek called, Sabau folded, Vaka called, and Tashliyev folded.
The 2♣ dropped on the river and Ushakov checked, then Grodek fired a tiny bet of 2,000. Vaka thought for a while before she called, and Ushakov folded.
At showdown, Grodek tabled A♣7♣, and Vaka had the same hand with A♥7♥, which meant they chopped the pot.
"I was trying to induce. I thought my ace was always good," said Grodek.
