A preflop raising war had developed, whereby Bogdan Simion on the button raised to 11,000 over a 4,500 bet by Francesco Favia in the cutoff. After some thought, Favia made the call.
On the 10♠10♣7♦ flop, Favia check-called versus a bet of 7,000 from Simion.
The same pattern was followed on the 10♦ turn, this time in respect of a 5,600 bet from Simion.
The 5♥ river was checked through. Favia showed Q♦Q♠ for the full house, much to the frustration of Simion, who showed J♦J♥ for the lower full house.
