Philip Joyce thought it was a break after handing over most of his chips to Anton Kraous, but tournament officials put a minute back on the clock and the table played one more hand. "They're trying to get rid of me," Joyce joked.

Andriy Lyubovetskiy then raised to 120,000 on the button and Joyce stuck in his last chips from the small blind. Mikhail Shalamov also came along from the big blind.

Shalamov and Lyubovetskiy checked the J♦6♥4♥ flop and the 2♠ fell on the turn. Shalamov then bet 125,000 and Lyubovetskiy folded.

Joyce showed A♥5♠, while Shalamov had J♠4♣ for two pair. The river was the 9♥ and Joyce was sent to the rail in 12th place.

"Diamonds are good for you, let's see how they are for him," Mikhail Shalamov told Joyce.

"Shh," Joyce replied as the flop came 10♦8♠6♦, giving Kraous a flush draw. "Never easy," Joyce added.

The 4♣ turn was safe for Joyce and left Kraous a card away from elimination, but he caught the K♦ on the river to crack Joyce's aces and double up, leaving Joyce with just one big blind.

Shalamov, Lyubovetskiy Exchange Raises

Timo Kamphues raised to 120,000 in the cutoff and Andriy Lyubovetskiy called on the button, as did big blind Mikhail Shalamov.

The flop came K♥8♣4♦ and action checked to Lyubovetskiy who bet 110,000. Shalamov then raised to 360,000, Kamphues folded, while Lyubovetskiy also gave up his hand as Shalamov took the pot.

A few hands later, Lyubovetskiy raised to 120,000 under the gun and Shalamov three-bet to 360,000 in the cutoff. Lyubovetskiy came back with a four-bet to 770,000 and Shalamov folded.

James made trips on the Q♥Q♦4♣ flop and check-called for 80,000, bringing in the 3♦ turn. James checked for a second time and Tsouloftas sized up to 230,000. James just called again.

The 4♠ river filled James up and he continued his trap with another check. Tsouloftas avoided it and checked back to see the 980,000 pot go over to James.
