Pardo Decimates Martirosian
Action folded to Artur Martirosian on the button, who opened to 10,000, receiving a call from Juan Pardo in the small blind.
Stephen Chidwick was in the big blind and reached for chips before making it 42,000. Both of his opponents called.
On the 6♥7♠2♣ flop, action was checked to Martirosian, who fired out a bet of 32,000. Pardo called and Chidwick folded.
The 2♦ rolled off on the turn and Pardo changed approach, leading out with a bet of 20,000. After some thought, Martirosian called.
The river brought the 6♣ and Pardo checked to his opponent.
Martirosian took a time bank before sliding out a bet of 169,000, leaving himself a single 1,000 chip behind.
Pardo used two time banks before making the call.
Martirosian showed K♠Q♦ to play the board for two pair with a king kicker, but Pardo had 8♠8♦ for a higher two pair, eights and sixes.
