Boika Put in Blender by Saft but Finds Hero Call
Aliaksei Boika opened to 3,000 and was called by Stephane Tayar. Action folded to Jimmy Saft, who reached for chips and produced a three-bet of 11,000. Both his opponents called.
On the 4♦5♦3♠ flop Boika led out for 7,500. Tayar folded, but Saft three-bet to 20,000. Boika called.
The 2♠ turn was checked through by both players.
On the 9♥ river Boika took his time before acting, finally checking. Saft quickly produced a bet of 33,000.
Boika went deep into the tank, studying his opponent. After four minutes or so, a tablemate called the clock. Not long after the countdown started Boika made the call.
Saft turned over J♠10♠ for the jack-high bluff, having missed his turned flush draw while Boika had 7♣7♦ for a pair of sevens.
As he raked in the pot, Saft complimented Boika on his play, tapping the table and stating that was "some call."
