Talbot Survives on the River
Before the hand, Naim Ouachekradi returned to the table and joked about whether he could reenter.
"Fifty thousand," Parker Talbot told him.
"I would reenter for €50,000. That's a good deal," Jesse Lonis added.
The table then folded around to Niklas Bauer who limped in from the small blind. Talbot then shoved for 1,400,000 and Bauer snap-called.
Parker Talbot: A♣5♦
Niklas Bauer: Q♠Q♣
Bauer had set a trap for Talbot who was far behind and at risk for his tournament life as the flop came 7♣4♣8♠. The turn was the 3♠, but the 6♥ river gave Talbot a straight to double up.
"No justice in tournament life," Talbot said as he took in the pot.
