Around 10,000 was already in the pot as Bastien Vial and Yoann Attia went heads-up to the A♥8♥2♥ flop. Vial then bet 2,500 from the button and Attia called in the cutoff.
Both players checked the 10♦ turn and Attia also checked the Q♣ river. Vial then bet 10,800.
Attia tanked for around 30 seconds before calling. Vial turned over A♣A♠ for top set and Attia flashed A♦Q♦ before mucking.

Welcome to Day 5 of the 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Paris at Le Palais des Congres, featuring Day 1a of the €2,200 France Poker Series High Roller.
Amid record-breaking fields in other events at EPT Paris, big numbers are expected for the tournament, which attracted 910 entrants in 2023, generating a €1,700,000 prize pool.
The tournament is a two-day event, with Day 1a due to kick off at 11 a.m. local time. At the time of writing, more than 150 players have already registered, which would suggest 2023 numbers could be surpassed.
Sylvain Loosli made a deep run in the event last year and is registered to take another shot at the title, as are Arnaud Enselme and PokerStars Ambassador Parker Talbot.
