Three is Good For Thorel
Niveau 21
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 80,000 under the gun and Adrian Mateos called in the cutoff.
The flop came 9♦8♦3♠ and Thorel bet 100,000. Mateos called. Both players then checked down the 2♣ turn and 6♠ river and Thorel turned over A♦3♣ for a pair of threes. Mateos let out a laugh as he mucked.
Mateos got those chips back the next hand when he raised to 80,000 under the gun. Mike Watson three-bet to 230,000 in the small blind and Mateos moved all in for around 850,000. Watson quickly folded.
