Action folded to Sam Greenwood who opened from the cutoff to 25,000. Steve O'Dwyer reraised to 72,000 from the small blind. Thomas Santerne used two time banks before jamming all in. Greenwood folded quickly and O'Dwyer flipped in a single chip to make the call.

The 4♠5♠2♣ flop was about as it good as it gets for Santerne's queens. The turn 6♦ meant the pot would be chopped on a three. The 10♦ secured a double up for Santerne to keep him in the tournament.

Action was picked up on the turn of K♠J♥10♦A♥. Kazuhiko Yotsushika checked from early position to Stephen Chidwick on the button. He checked back before the 9♠ river was dealt. Yotsushika wasted no time in moving all in for 450,000 and Chidwick snap-called.
Yotsushika tabled K♣7♣ for a pair of kings and Chidwick showed K♦Q♣ for the nut straight.

With about 40,000 in the middle, the flop read Q♥9♠5♠, and Mike Watson checked to Bryn Kenney who fired 14,000 into the middle. Watson thought about it for about 25 seconds before putting in a raise to 50,000, forcing Kenney to snap-muck.

Kazuhiko Yotsushika opened 17,000 under the gun, and Quan Zhou shoved for 130,000 from a couple of spots to his left. The action folded around to Tsugunari Toma in the small blind who called off his remaining stack of 63,000 before Yotsushika dropped as stack of chips to make the call.

The J♦J♥10♦ flop gave Zhou a gutshot straight draw but the 10♠ turn and 4♦ river were no help for either player as Yotsushika scored the double knockout.

Having lost a big pot in the previous hand with A♥Q♠ to Timothy Adams K♣K♦ on 10♣Q♦10♠4♥K♠, Orpen Kisacikoglu was all in from the button for his last 88,000. Timothy Adams made the call from the small blind an attempt to take the rest of Kisacikoglu's stack.

The dealer fanned a flop of Q♦J♠10♥, and Santerne check-called a bet of 36,000.
The 9♠ hit the turn, and once checked to, Adams fired again, this time for 60,000. Santerne made the call.
When the 10♦ paired the board on the river, both players tapped the table. Santerne tabled K♣J♥ for a straight on the turn, and Adams pushed his cards face down toward the dealer.
