Early Blow: Studniarz Loses Big in First Hand
Niveau 21
: Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
The day began with a significant pot, already standing at 135,000 as the board showed 5♠Q♣K♠A♦. Sylwia Studniarz, in the big blind, checked to Pedro Marques, who bet 85,000. After taking her time to consider, Studniarz raised to 200,000. Marques, after a brief pause, opted to call.
The 2♠ on the river saw Studniarz deliberate before checking once more. Marques, after his period of thought, placed a hefty bet of 400,000. Studniarz made the call, leading to the showdown. Marques tabled 6♠4♠, revealing a flush that sent Studniarz shaking her head as she mucked her cards—an early blow to her stack in the first hand of the day.
