Marques Hangs On to Double Through Runcan
Niveau 33
: Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Paul Runcan limped in from the small blind and Pedro Marques shoved from the big blind for 5,200,000. After a short while thinking, Runcan called.
Pedro Marques: A♦3♥
Paul Runcan: K♥Q♠
Marques held a slender lead and needed to maintain it, otherwise he would be out in third. A flop of 7♣J♦3♠ didn't give Runcan much to work with, and neither did the 7♠ turn. A 10♥ on the river kept the pair of Marques in front, and he doubled up.
