2024 FPS Aix-les-Bains
Niveau: 4
Blinds: 200/400
Ante: 400
Players have been sent on their first 20-minute break of the day.
Victor Guinand was heads-up from the big blind against a lone opponent in the small blind.
The small blind had already had a bet of 2,200 in front of him and Guinand raised to 9,000. His opponent responded by going all in for approximately 20,000 and Guinand quickly called to put him at risk.
Small blind: A♥K♣
Victor Guinand: A♠A♣
It was the best-possible scenario for Guinand, and the Q♦10♠3♥6♦8♣ runout kept his rockets out in front to claim rest of his opponent's chips.
Clement Vercueil opened to 700 from under the gun and was called by the player on the button. The player in the small blind squeezed to a bit under 3,000 and Vercueil made it 8,500 to go. The player on the button folded and the small blind called.
The flop came J♥8♥4♦ and Vercueil's opponent check-folded facing a 5,500 bet from Vercueil, who collected the pot without showing.

A player in early position limped and the player in the hijack raised to 600. Thierry Morel called on the button and the initial limper called as well.
Action checked to initial raised to continued for 700. Only Morel called.
Morel's opponent then proceeded to check-call a 2,000 bet from Morel on the 9♦ turn and A♠ river.
Morel turned over J♥8♦ for a straight and his opponent mucked to send the nice pot Morel's way.
A player opened in early position and was called by another player from directly behind. Cesar Veloso squeezed to 1,600 on the button and the initial flatter called.
Veloso's opponent checked to Veloso, who continued for 1,800 on the 4♦Q♥6♣ flop. His opponent check-raised to 5,000 and, undeterred, Veloso put enough chips in the middle to put his opponent all in for his last 12,500.
Veloso's opponent tanked a bit, but eventually opted to lay his hand down and Veloso showed the A♣Q♦ one-by-one before collecting the pot.
At another table, PokerStars ambassadors Benjamin Bruneteaux and Julien Brecard have taken their seats.
A player opened in the hijack and was called by Jeremie Essertel on the button. Erich Tedeschi squeezed to 2,500 and both his opponents called for a bloated three-way pot.
Tedeschi continued for 2,600 on the 3♥5♦Q♦ flop and he was again called by both players.
The K♥ fell on the turn and Tedeschi checked to the player in the hijack, who bet 4,000. Essetel then raised to 15,000, which got a quick fold from Tedeschi and a fold from his remaining opponent after a lengthy tank.
