Couceiro Puts Fialho Into a Decision

Niveau 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

After a raise from David Fialho in the cutoff and a call from Isabel Baltazar in the small blind, Miguel Couceiro three-bet to 50,000 in the big blind. Fialho decided to fou-bet to 100,000 and only Couceiro called.

The dealer showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Couceiro check-called Fialho for 40,000. The {3-Diamonds} brought no betting action on the turn.

A {6-Hearts} appeared on the river and Couceiro led out for 50,000. Fialho went deep into the tank and the clock was called. At the end of the 30-second count, his hand was mucked.

Pollet held {a-Spades}{j-Spades}, which wasn't enough to earn the pot as Eburderie showed {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and made his way to the payout desk.

The action was caught in a heads-up pot with a flop showing {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. Didier Secheresse was all-in for 74,000 and Franck Eburderie announced the call:

Didier Secheresse: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Franck : {a-Spades}{7-Spades}

Eburderie had hit two pair but Secheresse found the flush after the {10-Clubs} and the {9-Clubs} completed the board and doubled his stack.

Rosalie Petit started the action with a raise to 10,000 and Carsten Mawick called on the button. Thomas Meignan, down to only one big blind with 8,000, put his last chips in the middle and Hafid Kinany Alaoui called.

The flop gave {8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and the three players still alive in the hand checked. So did they on the {4-Hearts} turn.

A {4-Spades} paired the board on the river and Petit checked to Mawick who bet 5,000. Only Alaoui called and the three players flipped over their cards.

Thomas Meignan: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Hafid Kinany Alaoui: {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Carsten Mawick: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Mawick had hit the nut flush and took down the pot to eliminate Meignan in the process and burst the bubble.

The remaining 39 players are now all assured of a min-cash worth MAD 29,000.
