Day 1b of the Marrakech Poker Open Main Event Starts at 2 P.M.

Another hot and sunny day starts here at the Es Saadi Resort in Marrakech. A day that 12 players will enjoy at the pool, far from the poker table, as they successfully qualified for Day 2 after Day 1a of the 10,000 MAD Marrakech Poker Open Main Event.

Out of the 41 entrants, Spanish Poker Festival Team Pro Ibon Berriozabal ended up as the overall chip leader with 341,000 chips, ahead of Eduard Rau (271,000) and 2023 Winamax Poker Tour winner Sebastien Lesoif (233,000).

Among the other qualified players are Andrius Terebeiza (176,000), Miguel Couceiro (173,000), Jeremie Canetti (167,000), Alexis Ibarrola (149,000) and [Removed:482] (140,000), while Switzerland's Fabian Rolli (114,000) and Samiyel Duzgun (107,000) also managed to find a bag with a little bit less than 30 big blinds.

For all the other players who didn't make it through Day 1a and others how didn't play yet, today is the last day to try to qualify for Day 2. Day 1b starts at 2 p.m. local time with blinds of 100/200 and 200 ante. Players will try to navigate their way through thirteen levels of 40 minutes in length, with 15-minute breaks after every three levels. Unlimited reentries are allowed until the end of Level 9. A Turbo flight is also scheduled at 9 p.m. featuring 20-minute levels.
