Gu Blasts Lian Off the Best Hand
Niveau 24
: Blinds 20,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Xiang Lian raised to 100,000 on the button and Yuefan Gu defended his big blind.
The flop came 5♥Q♦9♠ and Lian continued for 85,000. Gu raised to 240,000 and Lian tossed in all his time banks as he tanked for a minute before calling.
Both players checked the K♦ turn. The river was the K♣ and Gu moved all in. Lian had 750,000 remaining and again burned through his time banks before giving up Q♥2♣. Gu took the pot with 10♣8♠ for just ten-high.
