Anatoly Nikitin opened to 2,000 from under the gun and received calls from Ceyhan Tezcan in the hijack, Dean Hutchison in the cutoff and Junjie He in the big blind.

The flop came Q93. He checked, Nikitin fired a 2,500 continuation bet, Tezcan called, Hutchison folded and He called.

On the 7 turn He checked, Nikitin checked and Tezcan bet 3,500. He got out of the way while Nikitin made the call.

Nikitin lead out with a 5,000 bet on the Q river only for Tezcan to raise it to 35,000. Nikitin made the call only for Tezcan to show down 99 for nines full of queens to take down a decent pot.

Nils Pudel opened to 1,700 from the hijack and received calls from Jianwei Lin in the cutoff and Roman Gadzhiev in the small blind.

All three players checked the 10109 flop leading to the 4 turn. Gadzhiev checked and Pudel bet 7,000. Lin put in a raise to 14,000 and both Gadzhiev and Pudel opted to fold.

Dmitry Yurasov, who won the Main Event of the last Merit Poker series this past October, also recently sat down at this table. Elsewhere in the tournament area, Dmitry Gromov, who finished runner up in the same event, has also taken a seat.

Tantillo Forces a Fold

With two players seeing a board of KAA8 and roughly 30,000 in the middle, Fausto Tantillo bet 15,500 from the blinds and was called by Shuang Luo in late position.

Tantillo sized up with a bet of 46,000 on the 8 turn. Luo thought for about 30 seconds before opting to fold and Tantillo took down a sizable pot.

Both players checked the 1092 flop leading to the Q turn. Lin bet 2,000, Zhao raised to 4,500 and Lin made the call.

The river was the Q. Lin checked, Zhao bet 11,000 and Lin made the call.

Zhao immediately mucked his hand allowing Lin to take the pot without having to reveal his hole cards.

The flop came K84 and Kirichenko check-called a 1,400 continuation bet from Guo.

Both players checked the 6 turn leading to the 7 river. Kirichenko bet 6,500 and Guo snap-called.

Kirichenko could only show A4 for a pair of fours while Guo tabled AA for a pair of aces to take the pot.
