Daniel Abrahamsson Eliminated in 3rd Place ($98,575)
Niveau 37
: Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Dmitrii Kopyl made it 1,600,000 on the button and Daniel Abrahamsson called from the big blind.
The flop came 8♣J♣2♦ and after Abrahamsson checked, Kopyl fired 2,000,000. Abrahamsson called.
A 10♠ landed on the turn and Abrahamsson checked again, then Kopyl shoved. Abrahamsson had around 10,000,000 behind and quickly called to put himself at risk.
Daniel Abrahamsson: 10♦9♠
Dmitrii Kopyl: K♣6♣
Abrahamsson was ahead with his pair and straight draw, and just needed to dodge a club or a king on the river to earn a big double-up. However, that task couldn't be achieved as the 5♣ rolled off on the river, earning Kopyl the pot with a flush and leaving Abrahamsson out in third.
