Action was opened in middle position to 1,700 before it folded to Stephen Song in the small blind who called.

The 2♦6♠A♥ flop landed and Song check-called a 1,200 bet from his opponent on their way to a 3♥ turn. The action checked through and the 5♦ rolled off on the river.

Song sat in the tank for about 30-seconds before leading out for 5,000. HIs opponent tanked for a bit but eventually found a fold and Song scooped.

Phil Hellmuth, Lex Veldhuis Headline Epic PokerStars NAPT Players Party in Las Vegas

It’s no secret that the 2023 PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT), which is taking place right now at Resorts World Las Vegas, marks the first NAPT in a dozen years.

But did you know that Thursday night’s festivities marked the first PokerStars Players Party in Las Vegas in 13 years? It was way back on July 11, 2010, during the annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) that the online poker giant rented out the entire nightclub at the Palms for an epic party that featured an exclusive performance by none other than Snoop Dogg.

As Day 2 of the $1,650 NAPT Main Event was winding down on Thursday night, players were invited to Resorts World’s famed Zouk Nightclub from 8-11 p.m. for free drinks, appetizers, and entertainment. While Snoop Dogg was NOT in the house sippin’ on gin and juice, plenty of notables were in attendance.

Foremost among them was 17-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth, who earlier in the afternoon busted the Main Event about a dozen spots shy of the money. Donning his trademark black and gold tracksuit complete with matching Luxon Pay hat, Hellmuth was joined by his sister, Anne, a 33-time Special Olympics gold medalist visiting from Madison, Wisconsin.

Hellmuth stayed busy rubbing elbows with various industry movers and shakers while taking time to snap selfies with fans before ducking out around 10 p.m. to register the $5,300 8-Game tournament late taking place upstairs.

Bloechlinger Takes With River Bet

Maureen Bloechlinger raised to 2,000 from the small blind and a player in the big blind called.

Both players checked the J♥A♠10♠ flop and the turn was 4♦.

Bloechlinger fired 1,500 on the turn and the big blind called to see K♣ on the river.

Bloechlinger tossed out 6,000 and the big blind quickly folded to give her the pot.

Kuo Sends Newhouse to the Rail

Action was opened in the cutoff by Kitty Kuo before recent "loose cannon" Lily Newhouse three-bet the button. When the action was back on Kuo she took a moment and then moved all in. Newhouse called and they were off to a full board with the cards on their backs.

The full board ran out 3♥6♣2♠J♦7♣ and Kuo sent Newhouse to the rail.

Konnikova Gets Away From One

Alexander Jesionek raised to 1,500 from under the gun and Richard Green called from the small blind before Maria Konnikova came along from the big blind.

The flop was 7♠4♠5♦ and both Green and Konnikova checked into a 2,800 bet from Jesionek. Green folded, but Konnikova raised to 8,000 and Jesionek called.

The turn was 6♦ and Konnikova fired 7,100, but Jesionek raised to 28,000 and that was enough for her to give it up.

After the hand, Jesionek told Konnikova he would tell her what he had in exchange for information from a previous hand. Konnikova agreed and Jesionek said he had 8x7x.

Jozoff and Yokosawa Have a Blind Battle

The action folded all the way to the small blind where Masato Yokosawa limped in for 600 before Michael Jozoff raised to 2,100. Yokosawa called and they were off to a flop heads up.

The 4♣2♠6♦ flop landed and action checked to Jozoff who continued for 5,000. Yokosawa took a moment and then put in a check-raise to 12,000. Jozoff called and the 4♥ rolled off on the turn pairing the board.

Yokosawa led for another 10,000 and Jozoff called again on their way to a 5♠ river. Yokosawa sat in the tank for almost a full time-bank before moving all in. Jozoff took a moment but ultimately sent his cards to the muck and Yokosawa scooped.
