Song Has a Short Stay
Niveau 7
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Stephen Song, fresh from winning the Super High Roller earlier in the day, jumped into this event and opened to 1,600 from under the gun. Nadya Magnus then three-bet to 4,200 in middle position and Song called.
The flop came A♦Q♣10♥ and Magnus continued for 3,000. Song called to see the 4♥ turn, where Magnus bet another 10,000. Song only had a little more remaining and moved all in as Magnus snap-called.
Song showed A♠J♥ for top pair and a straight draw, but Magnus had A♣Q♠ for two pair. The river was the 2♣ and Song was sent to the rail.
