Quang Vu and Brian Battistone were heads-up on the turn with the board showing Q♣3♠4♦10♣ when Vu got his last 930,000 in the middle from the big blind and Battistone put him at risk under the gun.
Vu showed 3♣3♥ for a set, while Battistone had A♣8♣ for a flush draw. The A♠ fell on the river and Vu survived to double up.
At the same time on another table, Satheesh Francis got his last 700,000 in the middle against Colton Blomberg.
Satheesh Francis: A♣J♥
Colton Blomberg: K♣K♥
Blomberg was ahead with his kings as the board came 5♦3♣5♥4♥4♠ to earn him the pot and send Francis to the rail.
Chanelle Morimatsu raised to 200,000 in early position and David Dongwoo Ko moved all in for 1,500,000 in the small blind. Morimatsu called to put him at risk.
David Dongwoo Ko: A♦K♣
Chanelle Morimatsu: A♠Q♣
Ko was poised to get his chips back from Morimatsu as the board came 3♥4♣6♠5♦, but Morimatsu caught the Q♠ on the river. Ko, who was contending for the chip lead with around 2,600,000 a few minutes earlier, suddenly found himself heading for the rail as Morimatsu moved up past 3,000,000.
David Dongwoo Ko raised to 100,000 in the hijack and Chanelle Morimatsu three-bet to 500,000 in the small blind. Ko then moved all in and Morimatsu called for 950,000.
Chanelle Morimatsu: K♠J♥
David Dongwoo Ko: Q♦Q♠
Morimatsu had run into Ko's queens as the Q♥8♦A♣ flop gave him a set, but Morimatsu caught the 10♠ on the turn to make a straight. The river was the 3♥ and Morimatsu doubled up.
"This table is sick. I don't want to play here anymore," Chris Vickrey said after the hand.
Xiang Lin slid forward 500,000 from the small blind and Daniel Samson moved all in from the cutoff. "Are you folding?" he asked Lin, who only had a few chips behind and stood up from his seat before calling.
Xiang Lin: K♦5♥
Daniel Samson: Q♣Q♦
"I'm only playing one card," Lin said, only showing his king at first before the dealer forced him to expose both his cards. The flop came 8♦5♠5♣ and Lin hit trips to take the lead, but the Q♥ fell on the turn to give Samson a full house.
The river was the A♥ and Lin tossed over his bounty. "He's rivered me the whole day. I finally got him," Samson said.
