Jachtmann In; Klatt Takes from Panchenko

Niveau 4 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Jan-Peter jachtmann, sponsored pro of partypoker, has sat down in the last few minutes to enter Day 1a in level four with a fresh stack of 1,000,000. He witnessed fellow German Andreas Klatt in action, who just won a showdown against Natalia Panchenko.

After a cutoff raise and a small blind call by Panchenko, the latter check-called a bet by Klatt on the {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop. The {J-Clubs} turn was checked through and Panchenko check-called a bet of 105,000 by Klatt on the {6-Hearts} river. The German rolled over {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for nut flush and that was good enough to win the pot.

Nolte Rising

Niveau 4 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Table 25 has opened and features Maxim Panyak, Sergey Rybachenko as well as Christian Nolte. The latter recalled a big hand from his previous table before getting moved that brought up his stack significantly.

After a limp, Nolte raised to 20,000 and the button called, the limper folded. On the {Q-}{9-}{5-} rainbow flop, Nolte check-called a bet of 30,000 and check-raised an {A-} turn from 50,000 to 175,000. His sole opponent called again and did so for 275,000 on the {4-} river to muck an ace when being shown queens for a set by Nolte.

Also in is Antonello Capoblanco, who calls the King's Casino in Rozvadov his home, which will be hosting the upcoming World Series of Poker Europe in October and November.

Pidun Lets Go

Niveau 3 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Joining the action on the three-way flop of {Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}, David Harutyunyan checked from under the gun and Thomer Pidun bet 21,000 on the cutoff. The button folded and Harutyunyan called to see the {K-Diamonds} on the turn and again it was checked to Pidun.

The German made it 46,000 to go and Harutyunyan check-raised to 102,000, which eventually won the pot without showdown as Pidun folded. Despite this minor setback, Pidun is up in chips for the day towards the end of level three.

Goldshtein Shows Aggression

Niveau 3 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

After a raise to 15,000 by the player in under the gun, Robin Hegele called from two seats over. Sergey Lim three-bet to 70,000 in the cutoff and Danil Goldshtein in the small blind elected to four-bet to 180,000. The initial raiser and Hegele quickly folded, while Lim did so after brief consideration.

Since sitting down, Goldshtein has shown plenty of aggression at his table and added half a million in chips to his stack.

Geshkenbein Loses Small Pot

Niveau 3 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Raul Martinez has sat down on the last table to open and was joined by Vladimir Geshkenbein, who opened the action in the most recent hand. Geshkenbein's raise to 12,000 was called by the small blind and Martinez folded from the big blind.

On the {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, the small blind check-called a bet by Geshkenbein before the {J-Hearts} turn went check, check. The {7-Hearts} appeared on the river and the small blind made it 35,000 to go. Geshkenbein was not happy about the call but eventually tossed in the chips with a sigh, then quickly mucked when he was shown {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.
