Kempe and Tedeschi Trade Pots

Niveau 31 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

The action got off to a fast start when the players returned to break with Paul Tedeschi and Rainer Kempe colliding in multiple pots. Tedeschi held pocket deuces against the ace six of Kempe on a board of {6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}{a-}. Kempe led out from the big blind on the turn and the river and Tedeschi called both streets to claim the pot.

In the next hand, Steve O'Dwyer raised to 2.1 million with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and was called by Ben Tollerene with {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} in the small blind. The flop of {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} was sure to spark some action and Tollerene check-called a bet of 4.6 million along 11 million on the {6-Hearts} turn card. The {j-Spades} on the river bricked off and Tollerene folded to O'Dwyer's shove.

Kempe and Tedeschi battle again with Kempe all in preflop for 12.6 million with {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Tedeschi called from the small blind with {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} leaving Kempe scrambling for help. The board ran out {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} as Kempe spiked a king on the river to double up.
