Lynskey Eliminated

Niveau 40 : 2,500,000/5,000,000, 5,000,000 ante
Alex Lynskey
Alex Lynskey

Action folded to Alex Lynskey in the small blind and he moved in for just under 90 million. Pascal Hartmann woke up with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and Lynskey was in trouble, dominated with {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

The {5-Hearts}{k-Spades}{a-Hearts} all but ended it on the flop and the {8-Clubs} made it official, making the {8-Spades} a mere footnote.

The players took a break for official final table photos.

Kuether and Turyansky Find Doubles

Niveau 40 : 2,500,000/5,000,000, 5,000,000 ante

Joe Kuether put in his last five big blinds with {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Marc MacDonnell put him at risk with {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The flop was clean for Kuether and the turn was a seven to seal the dub.

A bit after that, Alex Turyansky jammed in the cutoff for 95.5 million holding {k-}{10-}. MacDonnell woke up with {q-}{q-} and put him at risk, with the blinds folding {9-}{9-} and then {a-}{k-}.

The {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop nonetheless pulled Turyansky ahead and he held on through the {5-Clubs} turn and {7-Spades} river.

Mason Doubles Through Kuether

Niveau 40 : 2,500,000/5,000,000, 5,000,000 ante

Joe Kuether put in a three-bet preflop to 32 million from the button with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Craig Mason woke up with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} in the small blind. He shoved all in for 157 million. Action folded back to Kuether, who thought awhile and called.

It was a short sweat as {3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flopped to give Mason quads, and Kuether is left with crumbs.

Van Der Sluijs and Wigg Eliminated Before Final Table

Niveau 39 : 2,000,000/4,000,000, 4,000,000 ante
Anton Wigg
Anton Wigg

Craig Mason opened in the cutoff and Marc MacDonnell made it 24 million on the button. Anton Wigg announced 85 million in the small blind and MacDonnell quickly moved in after Mason folded. Wigg thought for 25 seconds and called off his last 5 million or so.

Marc MacDonnell: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Anton Wigg: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The {5-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades} meant Wigg had only one out to the river. Paint hit but it was the {k-Clubs} and he shook hands with his tablemates.

At the other table, Niek Van Der Sluijs went bust just before Wigg, allowing him to ladder one spot.

Welcome to Day 5 of Caribbean Poker Party $5,300 Main Event

Joe Kuether
Joe Kuether

After seven long days of poker, the end of the partypoker 2018 Caribbean Poker Party $5,300 Main Event is in sight. Just 11 players remain, and when the day is done, someone will raise a trophy and walk away with $1.5 million in the $10 million guaranteed event.

There hasn't been much time to enjoy paradise at Bahar Mar Resort for these players, but they each have $85,000 locked up for their efforts and all but one of them will get at least $110,000 as the tournament is currently on a money jump.

The remaining combatants as they stand now with 2015 WSOP bracelet winner Konstantin Maslak as the chip leader:

Stacks are finally starting to shrink after average stacks were hovering well north of 50 big blinds for most of the event. When a couple of more players bust, the final table will be reached. That final table can be viewed on the partypoker live stream.

Meanwhile, we here at PokerNews will be bringing you overarching updates in the partypoker-requested style. With players like Maslak, Joe Kuether, Alex Lynskey, Pascal Hartmann and more, this isn't a show you'll want to miss if end-game tournament play appeals to you.

On for the chase for $1.5 million, starting at noon local time, here in The Bahamas.
