Schillhabel raised to 210,000 right after and Joao Simao called on the button, as did Christoph Vogelsang in the small blind and Hans Thumann in the big blind. On the flop, Schillhabel continued for 310,000 and picked up a single caller in Simao. The on the turn brought a second barrel for 1.425 million and Simao folded.
Over on the other table, Bartlomiej Machon limped in and Niall Farrell in the small blind raised to 375,000. Machon called and the flop was checked. Machon bet the turn for 550,000 and Farrel folded. The Scotsman also gave up the last hand before the break to Patrick Leonard, who bumped his stack to almost 10 million.
Christoph Vogelsang raised to 205,000 from the hijack and was called by Bertrand Grospellier in the big blind.

The river completed the board with the , Grospellier now bet 715,000, Vogelsang counted his stack and then pushed his whole stack over the line. Grospellier asked for a count. The dealer complied with the request and confirmed that Vogelsang had 1,380,000 in total in front of him. Grospellier looked at his own stack and then called.
Vogelsang tabled for the straight. Grospellier threw his cards over the line and the dealer wanted to throw them in the muck but Stefan Schillhabel managed to stop her and asked her to flip open the cards. The dealer did so and showed that Grospellier had for the lower straight.
Hans Thumann raised to 280,000 first to act and Joao Simao called in the small blind. Both players opted to check the flop and Simao bet the turn for 415,000, Thumann called. On the river, Simao asked "can I see your stack?" and Thumann moved his hands to provide free sight on his remaining chips.
Simao gave it some more brief consideration and checked, as did Thumann, to see the partypoker ambassador from Brazil turn over for eights and treys. That was enough to win the pot, as Thumann sent his cards into the muck.
Patrick raised from the under-the-gun position and action folded to Bartlomiej Machon in the small blind who shoved for 1,120,000 in total. Leonard asked to confirm the amount and when that was confirmed, Leonard called.
