Set-Over-Set Upset for Zukernik

Niveau 3 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Only some 170,000 were in the middle with the completed board showing {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and that's when the stacks of Dominik Nitsche and Philipp Zukernik went in. Zukernik was on the unfortunate end of a set-over-set scenario with the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} while Nitsche had that beat with {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}. A brief count revealed that Zukernik with 900,000 was covered and Nitsche's stack was bumped up to more than 2.7 million as a result.

Schillhabel Doubles Through Tsoukernik

Niveau 3 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

With 185,000 in the middle and the three-way flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, Tobias Ziegler had checked from under the gun. Leon Tsounernik was all in for some 1.4 million in chips. Stefan Schillhabel in the big blind called all in and Ziegler eventually folded.

Stefan Schillhabel: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Leon Tsoukernik: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The {2-Hearts} turn and {K-Clubs} river were both blanks and Schillhabel doubled on his second bullet for 825,000, while Tsoukernik dropped below the starting stack.

Vogelsang Makes Sontheimer Muck

Niveau 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Christoph Vogelsang completed the small blind and Steffen Sontheimer opted to check his big blind.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Vogelsang bet 10,000, Sontheimer raised to 35,000 and Vogelsang called.

The turn brought them the {10-Hearts}, now Vogelsang check-called the 150,000 bet of Sontheimer.

The river completed the board with the {9-Spades}, Vogelsang now checked. Sontheimer immediately bet 400,000 and Vogelsang snap-called. Sontheimer mucked without having to see his opponent's cards. The dealer pushed the pot to Vogelsang and he happily stacked his newly acquired chips.

Bitoun Busts to Sontheimer

Niveau 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Steffen Sontheimer doubles through and busts Yair Bitoun
Steffen Sontheimer doubles through and busts Yair Bitoun

On a flop of {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, Yair Bitoun in the big blind bet 25,000 and Steffen Sontheimer raised to 125,000, which Bitoun called. Bitoun then bet the {7-Clubs} turn for 200,000 and Sontheimer came along before Bitoun moved all in after the {5-Clubs} river. Sontheimer called for his last 305,000 and Bitoun showed the {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, wich Sontheimer had beat with {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the second nut flush.

Sontheimer raised to 25,000 and Besim Hot called in the cutoff. Thomer Pidun three-bet to 130,000 and that won the pot without showdown. Shortly after, Bitoun was all in from the button for an additional 15,000 after having paid the button ante and three further players headed to the flop of {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} in Dietrich Fast, Pidun and Sontheimer in the big blind. Fast bet 30,000 and picked up calls from Pidun and Sontheimer.

On the {4-Hearts} turn, action checked to Pidun and he made it 80,000 to go. Only Sontheimer called before the remaining two active players checked down the {J-Diamonds} river. Sontheimer turned over {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for trips jacks and neither Pidun nor Bitoun could beat that to see the latter bow out.

Fast Forces a Fold; Hot in the Field

Niveau 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The flop on the board read {7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the pot already contained 60,000 in it. Steffen Sontheimer, sitting in the big blind, had checked. Dietrich Fast, in the cutoff, bet 20,000. Sontheimer took a few seconds and decided to raise to 60,000. Fast glanced at Sontheimer and reraised to 135,000. Sontheimer had a think about it and then called.

They both quickly checked through the {5-Hearts} on the turn to the {5-Spades} on the river. Sontheimer looked at the board and bet 140,000. This sent Fast into the tank but after about 2 or 3 minutes he raised to 480,000. Sontheimer stared at the board, then at Fast. After a while he decided to fold.

In the meanwhile, Besim Hot had taken his seat in between Sontheimer and Fast. Hot, from Switzerland, is already familiar with the scene here in Rozvadov as he has won three high rollers which all earned him cashes around the $200,000 mark.

Flush for Tsoukernik, Bitoun Enters

Niveau 1 : 5,000/10,000, 5,000 ante

On a three-way flop of {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Leon Tsoukernik bet 50,000 and forced two quick folds from Niall Farrell and Christian Christner. Tsoukernik flashed the {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Christner said "I had it, but hearts. King-jack oif hearts," to which Tsoukernik replied "well if you had the king of diamonds, I might have been in trouble."

One table over, Thomas Pidun on the button raised to 30,000 and Johannes Becker three-bet to 105,000. Pidun let go and Becker claimed the pot. Before the next hand was dealt, Yair Bitoun sat down as latest entry to the field.
