In two hours from now as of 12 p.m. noon local time, the King's Casino in Rozvadov will once again welcome high stakes regulars from near and far for another showdown at Europe's biggest poker arena. Day 1 of the 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany €25,000 Super High Roller kicks off and the tournament features a guaranteed prize pool of €1,000,000.
A total of 12 levels of 30 minutes each are scheduled for the first of two tournament days and the registration remains open for the first nine levels until approximately 5.00 p.m. local time. During the registration period, players can take advantage of the single re-entry option in case they run out of chips. All participants receive 1,000,000 in chips, which represents 100 big blinds in the first two levels.

The tournament will feature the button ante format play down to a winner on Sunday February 11th, 2018, and the same day also features the starting day of the second €25,000 Super High Roller. Furthermore, a €50,000 Super High Roller takes place on February 12th and 13th, and is certain to attract some of the biggest names in poker here in Rozvadov.
The 2018 partypoker MILLIONS Germany kicked off on February 8th and will run until February 18th 2018 with a total of €12.5 million in guaranteed prize pools. Highlight of the festival is the €5 million guaranteed €5,300 Main Event and the PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor to provide updates from the €25,000 and €50,000 Super High Roller as well as the €5,300 Main Event until a winner is crowned.
With some delay, the event will kick off shortly and as expected, plenty of Germans made the trip to King's Casino. Below is a list of already registered participants with the action expected to kick off shortly.

Joining the action on a completed board of , the action was on Timothy Adams in under the gun and he bet 175,000 into a pot of 125,000. His sole remaining opponent was Hamad Almannai on the button was in the think tank and eventually called. Adams rolled over for trips aces and won the pot.

Stefan Schillhabel in the small blind three-bet an open-raise and a call from 25,000 to 100,000 and Renato Nowak on the button was the only caller. Schillhabel bet the flop for 210,000 and Nowak gave him a brief but intense stare down before moving all in. Schillhabel called and the cards were turned over:

The on the turn immediately improved Nowak, and Schillhabel bricked the river. A quick count on both stacks revealed that Schillhabel was covered and he became the first casualty of the day.

On a three-way flop of , Leon Tsoukernik bet 50,000 and forced two quick folds from Niall Farrell and Christian Christner. Tsoukernik flashed the and Christner said "I had it, but hearts. King-jack oif hearts," to which Tsoukernik replied "well if you had the king of diamonds, I might have been in trouble."
One table over, Thomas Pidun on the button raised to 30,000 and Johannes Becker three-bet to 105,000. Pidun let go and Becker claimed the pot. Before the next hand was dealt, Yair Bitoun sat down as latest entry to the field.

The flop on the board read and the pot already contained 60,000 in it. Steffen Sontheimer, sitting in the big blind, had checked. Dietrich Fast, in the cutoff, bet 20,000. Sontheimer took a few seconds and decided to raise to 60,000. Fast glanced at Sontheimer and reraised to 135,000. Sontheimer had a think about it and then called.
They both quickly checked through the on the turn to the on the river. Sontheimer looked at the board and bet 140,000. This sent Fast into the tank but after about 2 or 3 minutes he raised to 480,000. Sontheimer stared at the board, then at Fast. After a while he decided to fold.
In the meanwhile, Besim Hot had taken his seat in between Sontheimer and Fast. Hot, from Switzerland, is already familiar with the scene here in Rozvadov as he has won three high rollers which all earned him cashes around the $200,000 mark.
