Seidel Can't Catch Up

Niveau 3 : 150/300, 300 ante

With around 5,000 in the middle and the board reading {8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, the action was on Mike Watson in the hijack. He made a bet of 3,600 and Erik Seidel called from the big blind.

The river brought the {a-Clubs} and slowed down all of the action. Both players checked and Seidel showed {8-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a pair of eights and a missed straight draw. Watson turned over {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} to pick up a small pot.

The River Favors Petrangelo More

Niveau 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

Chris Johnson raised to 1,200 from middle position and was called by Nick Petrangelo on the button along with the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Spades} and the action checked to Petrangelo who bet 1,500. The big blind folded and Johnson stuck around to see the {7-Hearts} on the turn.

Both players checked to the {8-Hearts} on the river and Johnson checked again. Petrangelo placed a bet of 30,000 and Johnson quickly called for his last 16,000 roughly. Petrangelo rolled over {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a rivered flush while Johnson rivered a straight with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Unfortunately for Johnson, his tournament ended and Petrangelo stacked his chips.

Jetten Doubles Through Chidwick

Niveau 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

There were about 9,000 chips already in the middle and the board read {Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} when we got to the table. Peter Jetten checked from under the gun and Stephen Chidwick bet 2,500 from the cutoff. Jetten check-raised to 7,500 and Chidwick called.

The turn brought the {6-Hearts} and Jetten bet 12,000. Chidwick called.

The {5-Clubs} fell on the river and Jetten shoved for 28,900. After verifying the size of the bet, Chidwick went into the tank. He used one time bank slip before he eventually called. Jetten flipped over {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a flopped set of eights, Chidwick mucked, and the dealer pushed the pot to Jetten.

Jaffee Chips up Quickly

Niveau 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

Sam Greenwood tossed out a pot-sized bet of 13,000 on the river of a {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{q-Spades} board. Jared Jaffee, his heads-up opponent who just took a seat at the table raised it up to 31,300. An annoyed Greenwood would make the call and muck when Jaffee tabled a straight with the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, binking his up-and-down draw on the river.

Petrangelo Throwing His Weight Around

Niveau 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

When we arrived at the table, the flop read {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and three players, Bryn Kenney in the big blind, Nick Petrangelo in the cutoff, and Ari Engel on the button, each put 6,700 in the middle.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Kenney led out for 14,300. Petrangelo went through one of his time banks before sliding in a stack of 110,000, having both of his opponents covered. Engel mucked his hand while Kenney had a bigger decision to make. With just 27,000 chips remaining, Kenney burned through two of his time banks before he finally released his cards as well.

Thorel Doubles Through Sam Greenwood

Niveau 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

With around 8,000 in the middle and the board reading {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, the action was checked around to the {5-Diamonds} on the turn.

Sam Greenwood checked from the small blind and Steve O'Dwyer followed suit in early position. Jean-Noel Thorel was on the button and calmly tossed in a bet of 4,000. Greenwood check-raised to 13,000 and O'Dwyer quickly mucked. Thorel called just as fast and the {9-Spades} completed the board.

Greenwood used one of his time extensions before announcing all in, which was met by a snap-call by Thorel. Greenwood tabled {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Thorel showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for trip aces. When the chips were counted, it was Thorel with the shorter stack of 43,500, leaving Greenwood with just over 13,000 chips.
