Stamm was racing for his tournament life and needed to improve in order to win. He took the lead on the flop, leaving Engel and Dvoress in rough shape. They picked up a gutshot to a chop on the turn, and before the dealer revealed the river, Daniel Negreanu, who was also at the table, said to Stamm, "Oh! You lost to a straight!" As if on cue, the fell on the river, so Dvoress and Engel split the pot to eliminate Stamm.
