Vaskaboinikau is Running Hot

Niveau 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The action folded to Lawrence Greenberg on the button who moved all in for his last 62,000 chips. Mikalai Vaskaboinikau called from the small blind and the hands were tabled.

Greenberg was miles ahead with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} against Vaskaboinikau's {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The flop came {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Greenberg was still ahead. The turn brought the {9-Clubs} and Vaskaboinikau spiked a set of nines to leave Greenberg drawing slim. A jack and a jack only would save Greenberg but the river was the {2-Diamonds} and he frustratingly walked away from the table.

Niveau 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Ryan Riess got his stack in before the flop from the big blind against Mikalai Vaskaboinikau, who was on the button and had him covered by a wide margin.

Riess: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Vaskaboinikau: {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

Riess had the preflop advantage but was flipping for his tournament life and needed to hold up in order to survive. Vaskaboinikau took the lead on the {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop and Riess found no help on the {J-Hearts} turn or {4-Hearts} river, so Vaskaboinikau took the pot to send Riess to the rail.

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau opened to 16,000 from late middle position and Steve O'Dwyer three-bet jammed from the cutoff for 204,000. Vaskaboinikau had O'Dwyer covered by a substantial margin and called.

Vaskaboinikau: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
O'Dwyer: {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Vaskaboinikau had the preflop advantage and O'Dwyer needed to improve in order to preserve his tournament life. After the board ran out {K-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} Vaskaboinikau was still best, so he took the pot to send O'Dwyer to the rail.

Aces Hold for Haxton

Niveau 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The flop read {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Isaac Haxton fired out a bet of 35,000 from the small blind into a pot of around 60,000. Oussama Mobaress shoved all in from the cutoff and Haxton quickly called.

Mobaress turned over {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for an open-ended straight draw, but two of his outs were gone as Haxton woke up with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the river brought the {4-Diamonds}. Haxton's aces held up for the best hand and Mobaress was eliminated.
