PokerNews Reporting More Tournaments Than Ever at the 2023 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure has returned for the first time since 2019 and PokerNews will be on hand to cover more events than ever before.

Also kicking off on Sunday is the $100,000 PCA High Roller, and the $10,300 PCA Main Event begins on Monday. PokerNews will cover a total of 14 events, including the $25,000 PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship on January 30.

Brewer Stays in Line

Juan Pardo opened to 5,500 from under the gun and Chris Brewer called on the button. Orpen Kisacikoglu and Byron Kaverman also called from the blinds.

Action checked to Brewer on the flop of and he bet 6,000. Only Kisacikoglu called. Brewer bet 35,000 on the turn and Kisacikoglu laid it down.

As he folded, Kisacikoglu tried to get some information out of Brewer, who confessed he didn't have a made hand but had "plenty of equity."

"Definitely wasn't out of line!" Brewer laughed.

Addamo Falls to Thorel in Massive Cooler

Michael Addamo opened to 4,500 from the hijack and Mike Watson called on the button before Jean-Noel Thorel three-bet to 12,000 from the big blind. Addamo four-bet to 42,000 and Watson folded. Thorel called.

Thorel checked on the flop and Addamo bet a 10,000 for just a fraction of the pot. Thorel called.

Thorel checked again on the turn and Addamo sized up to 55,000. Thorel check-raised to 110,000 and Addamo used a time bank before re-raising all in. Thorel called with a bigger stack.

Both players had flopped monsters as Addamo had top set and Thorel had the nut flush. The river failed to pair the board and Addamo was eliminated after the dealer confirmed the Frenchman had him covered.
