As the other players went on break, Santiago Plante and Daniel Rezaei were in the midst of battle. The board read on the turn and the pot had approximately 15,000 in it.

Plante checked to Rezaei, who then bet 6,000 into the swelling pot. Plante made the call and the two went to the river .

After an open to 800 by Rodrigo Seiji and a call from Lex Veldhuis on the button, small blind Joao Simao three-bet to 4,300. Adam Hendrix in the big blind put in a cold four-bet to 10,500, causing a fold from Seiji and Veldhuis.
After using a time bank, Simao made the call and the two went heads-up to a flop of .
