Another Double for Erik Seidel

Niveau 17 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Jake Schindler raised to 37,000 under the gun and was met by an all-in three-bet to 301,000 from Erik Seidel on the button. Both blinds folded and Schindler called.

Schindler: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Seidel: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Both players held big pocket pairs, but of course Seidel's was best. The board ran out a clean {6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Seidel shipped another double.

Sergio Aido Eliminated in 7th Place ($96,000)

Jake Schindler raised to 35,000 from the cutoff and Spain's Sergio Aido responded by three-betting all in for 341,000 from the small blind. Schindler asked for an exact count, pondered for a bit, and then dropped in some chips to make the call.

Aido: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Schindler: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

It was a flip, and while the {2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop didn't hit Schindler directly it did give him a flush draw to go with his two overs. The {K-Spades} turn kept Aido in the lead, but then the dealer burned and put out the {Q-Clubs} on the river.

Schindler spiked the club flush to win the pot and send Aido to the rail in seventh place for $96,000.

Erik Seidel Doubles in First Hand

Erik Seidel

With the blinds at 7,000/14,000/14,000 and a dead small blind (from Steffen Sontheimer's bust out last night), action folded to Doug Polk on the button and he simply moved all in to put the pressure on the short-stacked Erik Seidel in the big blind. The Poker Hall of Famer didn't take long to call off.

Seidel: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Polk: {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

The {6-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop was kind to Seidel, and he locked up the hand when the {10-Clubs} turn left Polk drawing dead. Ship the double to Seidel.
