Schillhabel Wins Battle of Germany

Niveau 6 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

From under the gun, Dominik Nitsche raised to 6,000 and both Christian Christner and Stefan Schillhabel called from the button and big blind.

The flop landed {9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and all three Germans checked as the turn landed the {Q-Diamonds}. Schillhabel checked, and Nitsche bet 13,000 as both Christner and Schillhabel called.

The river landed the {8-Spades} and Schillhabel checked for a third time as Nitsche now checked. Christner bet out 27,000 and Schillhabel called as Nitsche folded.

Christner tabled his {K-Spades}{9-Spades} for third pair, but it would be Schillhabel's {Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for two pair that would earn him the pot.

With the action on Stephen Chidwick on the button, he cold four-bet to 48,000.

Schindler folded, as did Tollerene, and Chidwick scooped the pot to climb to 260,000 in chips.

Haxton Feels the Rath of Rast

Niveau 6 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Feature Table:

Cary Katz opened to 5,000 under the gun with {a-Spades}{9-Spades} and Brian Rast called directly to his left with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Isaac Haxton was in the big blind with {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and three-bet to 20,000. Katz laid his hand down but Rast stuck around to see a flop.

A flop it was for him, as it came {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Haxton continued with his story and bet 19,000. Rast just called and the {9-Diamonds} hit the turn. Haxton fired another bullet for 30,000 and this time Rast raised it up to 95,000. Haxton quickly tossed his cards away and Rast raked in the pot.

Davies Building

Niveau 6 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Seth Davies opened to 6,000 from under the gun and both Fedor Holz and Rainer Kempe called in the blinds.

The flop landed {3-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and all three players checked to reveal the {9-Diamonds} on the turn.

Holz and Kempe again checked as Davies bet out 14,000. Holz called, and Kempe folded as the {4-Diamonds} completed the board on the river.

Holz checked for a third time, and Davies used his full allotment of time before betting 55,000. Holz quickly mucked, and Davies was pushed the pot.

Marchese Doubles Through Seiver

Niveau 6 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Feature Table:

With around 32,000 in the pot and the board reading {j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, Scott Seiver checked from the small blind with {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Tom Marchese was in the big blind with {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and bet 22,000.

Seiver check-raised all-in and Marchese only had around 60,000 left in front of him. He made the call and the cards were on their backs.

The river brought the {5-Spades} and Marchese found a double up at the hands of Seiver.

Nitsche Finds the Ladies to Double

Niveau 6 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

From the button, Stefan Schillhabel raised to 6,000 only to have Dominik Nitsche three-bet the small blind to 22,000. Schillhabel responded by four-betting all in, and Nitsche called all in for his last 88,000.

Nitsche: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Schillhabel: {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and although Schillhabel made a flush, it would be Nitsche's turned full house that would ensure him of the double.

Chidwick vs. Aldemir

Niveau 6 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Koray Aldemir raised to 6,000 from the cutoff and Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 25,000 from the small blind. Aldemir called and then called a bet of 18,000 on the {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Spades} flop.

Chidwick bet again, this time 55,000, on the {2-Clubs} turn, but he couldn't shake Aldemir, who called to see the {5-Hearts} river.

Both players checked and it looked like Chidwick showed two spades, but we couldn't quite tell before he mucked to Aldemir, who tabled the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Poker Masters Event #3 Champ Bryn Kenney Eliminated

Niveau 6 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Three of the four Poker Masters $50K prelim winners are now gone, which leaves Steffen Sontheimer as the last champ remaining. The latest to go was Bryn Kenney, who began the day in second place with $1,085,000 in Poker Masters earnings.

It happened when Ben Tollerene raised to 7,000 from the cutoff and Stephen Chidwick flatted from the button. Kenney then moved all in for 23,000 from the big blind, Tollerene put in a four-bet, and Chidwick got out of the way.

Tollerene: {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Kenney: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

Kenny got it in good, and while the {j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop didn't hit Tollerene directly, it did give him a flush draw to go with his overs. The {5-Clubs} turn gave Tollerene counterfeit outs, but it was the {Q-Clubs} on the river that would give him the win.

With that, Kenney's hopes of donning the purple jacket went up in smoke.

Sontheimer Continues to Fly

Niveau 6 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Feature Table:

Steffen Sontheimer raised to 6,000 under the gun with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and was called by Cary Katz in the cutoff with {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Tom Marchese raised to 26,000 out of the big blind with {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Sontheimer called, while Katz folded.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Marchese led out for 18,000. Sontheimer called and the {10-Hearts} fell on the turn. Both players checked to the {6-Clubs} on the river and then decided to check it down. Sontheimer's pair of nines was the best hand and he stacked more chips.
