Charlie Carrel Done and Dusted

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Charlie Carrel (right)
Charlie Carrel (right)

A short-stacked Charlie Carrel moved all in for 12,000 from the cutoff and action folded to Sam Greenwood, who called from the big blind.

Carrel: {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Greenwood: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Carrel needed some help, and he got a little when the {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop gave him a gutshot wheel draw. The {J-Hearts} turn was no help to the young Brit, and neither was the {9-Spades} river.

Carrel has already exercised his single re-entry option, which means he's officially been eliminated from the 2017 PokerStars Championship Bahamas $25,000 High Roller.

[Removed:17] Takes Some From Maria Ho

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

Maria Ho (pictured) and [Removed:17] went at it for a lot of chips in the last level before the dinner break here on Day 1 of the $25,000 PokerStars Championship Bahamas High Roller.

Preflop, Yan raised Ho's opening bet on the button from 5,500 to 12,500, which Ho called in the cutoff. The flop of {9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} saw both players check, and they did likewise on the {6-Spades} turn. However, on the {K-Hearts} river, Ho checked to Yan, who led for 9,500. Ho couldn;t call and Yan stacked up a six-figure pile of chips. Ho is a little short approaching the final break of the night.

Last Year's Runner-Up Eliminated... Again

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

Sean Winter, who finished runner-up to Nick Maimone in this event at last year's PCA, has been eliminated from the tournament for a second and final time.

It happened when there was around 15,000 in the pot and a flop of {3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Oleksii Khoroshenin checked under the gun and Winter bet 4,600 from the hijack. Khoroshenin then woke up with a check-raise to 16,100, Winter called, and the {8-Clubs} appeared on the turn.

Khoroshenin took a long time before moving all in, and Winter hit the tank to debate what to do with his last 34,500.

Eventually he called off with the {q-Spades}{k-Hearts} and discovered the bad news, that Khoroshenin held the {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for a full house. The {2-Diamonds} river failed to pair the board for Winter, and he was eliminated from the tournament for a second time.

Savage End for Savard

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Jean-Pascal Savard got his final 18,400 into the middle with {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and was crushed pre-flop when Nick Petrangelo called with {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

The flop of {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} did nothing to improve Savard's chances, and the {8-Clubs} just snuffed out more outs. The {10-Spades} river ended Savard's interest in the tournament and gave Petrangelo a six-figure stack.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy Finishes Off Kevin Eyster

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We missed the specifics, but we do know that Kevin Eyster, who was short stacked, check-raised all in on an {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop and was called by Vladimir Troyanovskiy.

Troyanovskiy: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Eyster: {10-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Eyster had flopped top pair, but he needed another ten to overcome the ladies of Troyanovskiy. Neither the {9-Clubs} turn nor {6-Hearts} river was what he was looking for, and Eyster hit the rail just before the dinner break.

Boeree and Peters See a River

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Liv Boeree was the aggressor on a flop of {2-Spades}{6-Spades}{J-Diamonds} as she bet 4,000 into a pot of 17,200. David Peters, confirmed today as the current Global Poker Index number one, called to a turn of {K-Spades}. Boeree bet 12,000 and stared down Peters, who called.

The river was the {J-Spades} and both Peters and Boeree checked, and it turned out to be a good check behind with Pters holding {Q-Spades}{K-Hearts} for the second nut flush. Boeree turned over {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}.

"You run good!" Igor Kurganov said as he passed the table.
