Byron Kaverman and Dan Shak clashed in a massive pot, one that would eventually give Kaverman the lead in the tournament.
With 70,000 in the pot preflop, Kaverman bet 25,000 on a flop of , but was raised to 115,000 by Shak. Kaverman made the call and the two men saw turn of . That was when Shak moved all-in for his remaining stack of around 140,000, and Kaverman took his time, but he made the call, turning over to Shak's . Shak needed a three-outer miracle and it didn't come, the insignificant completing the board and sending Shak out of the door.

Isaac Haxton moved in for his last 110,000 or so from middle position. Zachary Clark in the small blind pushed all in over the top for just a bit more and got it heads up as his neighbor folded. Haxton had found a suited king to shove with but turned out to be dominated:

Charlie Carrel and Paul Newey got it all into the middle pre-flop, and with Newey at risk, the famously loud-shirted player, in his element right here in the Bahamas, was in dreadful shape. He held , but Carrel, who has enjoyed a spectacularly successful last twelve months, including a runner-up in the $100,000 Super High Roller just yesterday here at the PokerStars Championships, held .
The board of did nothing to help Newey and he was on his feet by the turn. Carrel marches on with that busting, and he's feeling good up at 235,000.
