Wozniczek and Masis Off to the Races

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The preflop action escaped us, but we do know that Robin Luca Wozniczek got his stack of 250,000 all in preflop and was at risk against Alberto Fonseca Masis, who barely had him covered with 263,000.

Masis: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Wozniczek: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

It was a big flip, and the proverbial coin came down in favor of the tens after the board ran out a clean {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

Masis got the remainder of his stack all in on the next hand and fell when his {a-Spades}{9-Clubs} failed to overcome the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} of Michael Lech after a {j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} run out.

Timofeev and Abdellatif Butt Heads Again

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Just moments after they first clashed, Abdellatif and Timofeev again got involved in a big pot.

Aleks Dimitrov opened under the gun plus one for 13,000 and Jonathan Abdellatif in the hijack three-bet to 40,000. Luis Alejandro Mata on the button contemplated what to do for several minutes before someone called the clock. The floor came over and asked the dealer if Mata had had enough time, but the dealer said he hadn't. Before anything else happened, Mata called.

JC Alvarado folded his small blind but big blind Denis Timofeev squeeze shoved for 257,000. Dimitrov instantly folded but Abdellatif wasn't following suit. He over shoved and again Mata had a decision. He eventually folded.

Denis Timofeev: {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Jonathan Abdellatif: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

Abdellatif was in front but the {7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop was anything but harmless for his hand. The {8-Hearts} on the turn paired up Timofeev and the {Q-Clubs} on the river even gave him the flush. Double up for Timofeev, bad beat for Abdellatif.

Salmon Picks Off Yaroshevskyy's All-In Bluff

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Igor Yaroshevskyy
Igor Yaroshevskyy

Igor Yaroshevskyy raised to 14,000 in middle position, and James Salmon called in the cutoff. Yaroshevskyy put in a small continuation-bet of 12,000 on a {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} flop, and Salmon made it 28,000 to go. Yaroshevskyy came back with 100,000, and Salmon called after some thought. Yaroshevskyy barreled again with 127,000 on the {2-Clubs} turn, and Salmon again went nowhere. The river was a {10-Diamonds}. Yaroshevskyy counted his stack and then moved all in. Salmon called it off after thinking a minute or two for 240,000.

Yaroshevskyy opened {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for an eight-high bluff, and Salmon showed {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. He collected the huge pot with top pair, surging into the chip lead.

Jason Koon Doubles Through Vincent Allevato

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Koon raised to 15,000 from early position and his neighbor, Vincent Allevato, three-bet to 42,000. Action folded back to Koon and he called to see a {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop, which both players checked.

After the dealer burned and turned the {8-Diamonds}, Koon ripped his last 94,000 in the middle and Allevato called him.

Koon: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Allevato: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Koon dodge a jack on the {4-Hearts} river and shipped the double.

Sapitavicius Doubles Through Michael Lech

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Taran Parmar raised to 15,000 from middle position and Michael Lech three-bet to 38,000 on the button. Sapitavicius was in the big blind and moved all in for about 120,000. Parmar folded and Lech called.

"I folded sixes", said Parmar.

Sapitavicius: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Lech: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

In a classic race, the board ran out {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Sapitavicius doubled through.

Wheeler Gets Caught by the Ladies

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

With about 55,000 in the pot, on a board reading {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, Jason Wheeler was in the big blind and led out for 25,000. Vasyl Vertianov was on the button and decided to call.

The river was the {7-Hearts}. Wheeler led out for 64,000 this time. Vertianov thought for a moment and eventually called.

Wheeler revealed {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for ace high, and Vertianov tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for two pair, queens and sixes.

Cold Four From Salmon

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After an open in the cutoff to 15,000, Igor Yaroshevskyy made it 47,000 to go in the next seat. James Salmon was next to act and came out raising to 159,000. After the opener mucked, Yaroshevskyy thought long and hard, leaning back in his seat to get a different angle view of Salmon, who had the dealer in between him and Yaroshevskyy. After about three minutes, Yaroshevskyy gave up his hand.

Fabrice De Benedictis Spikes the River to Stay Alive

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Fabrice De Benedictis moved all in for his last 83,000 from the cutoff and Robin Luca Wozniczek called from the big blind.

Wozniczek: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Benedictis: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Benedictis was in a world of hurt, and he was left wanting on the {2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop. The {4-Hearts} turn meant he could chop with a five, but it'd be the {A-Hearts} on the river that would give Benedictis new life.

Ortiz Shoves Into Pavliuk's Bullets

Niveau 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Tito Ortiz
Tito Ortiz

Roman Pavliuk came in raising with 15,000 in the hijack, and Tito Ortiz made it 30,000 in the small blind. Pavliuk reraised again to 60,000, and Ortiz immediately pushed in all of his chips, 233,000. Pavliuk snap-called for less.

Pavliuk: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Ortiz: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Pavliuk had Ortiz crushed, and the {5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop kept it that way. A {k-Spades} turn gave Ortiz a chance, but a {2-Clubs} river was a haymaker to the famed fighter's chin, leaving him in need of a double as Day 3 winds to a close.
