Two for Tang; Second Break

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Danny Tang won the last two hands before the second break of the day. In the first hand, Tang raised to 85,000 from middle position and Sergio Aido defended his small blind. The {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop went check/check and Aido check-called 130,000 on the {3-Spades} turn.

Aido checked the {10-Clubs} river to Tang, who used a time bank chip before betting 320,000. Aido seemed a bit disgusted by it, yet folded his hand after mere seconds.

"Nein nein nein," laughed Hossein Ensan, who then explained "nein means no in German" for those not in the know.

Tang raised the subsequent hand and Ensan stalled in the big blind until the break was reached. Players will be back in 15 minutes.

Ensan Grinds Away

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Preben Stokkan raised to 85,000 first to act and Orpen Kisacikoglu three-bet to 250,000 from the cutoff to force folds all around.

Danny Tang made it 90,000 to go from under the gun and Sergio Aido's three-bet to 240,000 in the cutoff won the pot.

Roman Emelyanov won a pot against Tang with a continuation bet on the flop before Orpen Kisacikoglu did so on a checked {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} flop and {10-Diamonds} turn after firing the {8-Clubs} river for 170,000, Ben Heath check-folded the river.

Hossein Ensan made it 85,000 from the hijack and Tang three-bet the button to 230,000. Ensan clocked it to 585,000 and Tang snap-folded to get shown the {3-Hearts} and a wide grin from Ensan.

Ensan Takes Over the Lead

Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

Roman Emelyanov raised to 100,000 and Danny Tang defended the big blind before check-folding the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop to a bet of 100,000.

Hossein Ensan raised the next three hands in a row to 85,000. First it were Preben Stokkan on the button and Ben Heath in the big blind that called and folded to a bet of 125,000 by Ensan on the {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop.

In the next hand, Emelyanov defended his big blind and checked the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop, Ensan bet 125,000 once more and won the pot.

The third raise was called by Orpen Kisacikoglu in the big blind and Ensan jokingly asked for an ace-ace-eight flop. The first two cards were the {A-Hearts} and the {8-Spades}, causing laughter at the table. The third flop card was the {5-Diamonds} and both players checked. On the {9-Hearts} turn, Kisacikoglu checked and another bet of 125,000 by Ensan took down the pot uncontested.

Last but not least, Tang opened to 90,000 in the hijack and Heath three-bet out of the cutoff to 255,000. Tang called and both players ended up checking through the entire board of {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Tang flipped over {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and that won the pot.

Kfir Ivgi Eliminated in 9th Place (€52,000)

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Kfir Ivgi (right) finishes 9th
Kfir Ivgi (right) finishes 9th

Kfir Ivgi raised to 100,000 in middle position, Liwei Sun shoved 645,000 from the small blind and Ivgi called, having his opponent barely covered.

Kfir Ivgi: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Liwei Sun: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

Ivgi's downward trajectory at the final table continued as Sun spiked the king to double up: {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. The Brit, supported by countrymen Will Kassouf and Artan Dedusha on the rail, was left with a mere 45,000.

After paying the ante, Ivgi stuck 40,000 in in the next hand. Sergio Aido raised to 110,000 from the cutoff, Sun called on the button and Preben Stokkan paused in the big blind. He then shoved for 410,000 total, Aido folded and Sun quickly called.

Kfir Ivgi: {J-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Liwei Sun: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Preben Stokkan: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Hossein Ensan consolidated Ivgi that the jack was coming but there wasn't one in sight. On {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, Stokkan scored a near triple-up and Ivgi, who started the final table as the chipleader, bowed out in 9th after a little more than one level of play at the FT.

Ensan Takes from Stokkan

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Hossein Ensan limped in from the small blind and Preben Stokkan checked his option out of the big blind. On the {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop, Ensan bet 40,000 and Stokkan called. The {A-Spades} turn brought a check by Ensan and Stokkan checked behind while Ensan glanced over to get a reaction from the Norwegian.

Ensan's check on the {J-Hearts} river brought a bet of 150,000 by Stokkan and the 2015 EPT Prague Main Event champion quickly called. Stokkan showed {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a busted straight draw, while Ensan raked in the pot with the {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} fortop pair on the flop and third pair on the river.

Aido Gets Queens: Doubles Again Through Stokkan

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

There are plenty of pocket queens being dealt at the final table and Sergio Aido became the latest to pick up the ladies. After a raise from Preben Stokkan to 65,000 under the gun and a call from Kfir Ivgi, Aido shoved 480,000 in late position. Stokkan shoved all in as well to get Ivgi out of the hand.

Sergio Aido: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Preben Stokkan: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Aido cracked Stokkan's queens earlier and took it with queens this time: {5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

Before this hand, Hossein Ensan took two small pots in a row to jump to 1.7M.

Kisacikoglu Doubles Through Ivgi

Niveau 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Kfir Ivgi opened to 75,000 on the button, which only Orpen Kisacikoglu called in the big blind. On a flop of {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{5-Spades}, Kisacikoglu checked and called a bet of 125,000 by Ivgi. The {6-Hearts} appeared on the turn and Kisacikoglu check-called a second barrel, this time for 175,000.

After the {J-Diamonds} river, Kisacikoglu moved all in and Ivgi asked for a count. The jam was for 535,000 and Ivgi used one time bank extension before calling. Kisacikoglu turned over {K-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Ivgi only had {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a bluff catcher to forfeit half of his stack.
