Who tops the PokerStars Championship Prague GPI Leaderboard?

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

At every Championship event, the overall best performing player wins entry into a big freeroll that will take place during the PCA 2018 in January.

Adrian Mateos leads the leaderboard right now, but there's some competition still active in this €10,000 High Roller who could spoil it for the Spanish high roller.

Read all about it on the PokerStars Blog.

Riess Shoves on Durnegger

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Markus Durnegger and Ryan Riess built a pot of about 90,000 and checked through the turn to a final community of {9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Durnegger was in the big blind and bet 30,000 on the end, and Riess shoved all in for about 140,000, inducing a snap-fold and a sigh.

Ramos Eliminated

Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

Felipe Ramos was one of the seven players buying in at the start of the day, but he's now just been eliminated.

According to Ramos, the hijack opened in a hand where the big blind was missing. Ramos shoved for 60,500 from the cutoff. The blinds folded, the initial raiser called with {6-}{6-} while Ramos tabled {A-}{7-} offsuit.

Ramos outflopped his opponent as it came {7-}{4-}{2-}. The {4-} on the turn was still save too, but the {6-} on the river definitely wasn't for Ramos.

Stokkan Doubles Through Aido

Niveau 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Sergio Aido was in middle position and already had a time extension in front of him on a completed board of {7-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Aido had put in a bet of 45,000 and was facing an all-in shove from Preben Stokkan, who had the button and about 120,000. Aido dropped in some calling chips and turned over {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} but Stokkan had him crushed the whole way with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Despite the loss, Aido's still significantly above where we last noted his count.

"This Would be a Sick Slowroll!"

Niveau 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

We missed the pre-flop action but Felipe Ramos told us later that Nick Petrangelo had opened under the gun and Danut Chisu had three-bet to 21,000 from the cutoff. Petrangelo called.

Petrangelo checked on {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and called the 25,000 bet that followed from Chisu.

Both players checked on the {9-Diamonds} turn and the {K-Clubs} completed the board. Petrangelo checked again and Chisu bet 70,000. Petrangelo moved in for 116,000 total, 46,000 more to Chisu.

Chisu tanked for quite a bit, using two time bank cards in the process to get two minutes of extra time.

"This would be a sick slowroll!" Petrangelo said to his neighbor who nodded in agreement.

Eventually, with just a few seconds left to act, Chisu called.

Petrangelo showed {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for the flopped full house, Chisu mucked but his hand was shown to be {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

Wigg Wins From Plesuv

Niveau 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

From early position, Pavel Plesuv opened for 7,000. Big blind Anton Wigg called to see a flop heads up.

Wigg checked on {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades} and called the 6,000 bet that followed.

On the {J-Spades} turn, Wigg check-called another 25,000 before checking a last time on the {J-Diamonds} river. Plesuv thought about it for a little bit but checked behind and conceded after Wigg showed {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

One American Up, Another Down

Niveau 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Ping Lin got his stack of about 50,000 in preflop holding {j-}{j-} and was leading the {a-}{j-} of DJ Alexander. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Alexander shipped over a double worth most of his own chips.

At a nearby table, Alexander's fellow American, Ryan Riess, is trending the other way after he just doubled up. We didn't see his opponent's hand, but Markus Durnegger was sending over the requisite chips after a board of {5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} hit the felt, making Riess {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} good for quads.
