Greenwood Doubles Through Fatehi

Niveau 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Sam Greenwood opened under the gun plus one for 3,000 and small blind David Peters called. Big blind Ali Reza Fatehi squeezed to 12,500 and action was back on Greenwood. He four-bet to 33,000 and Peters was quick to fold. Fatehi shoved all in, Greenwood called for 100,900 total.

Sam Greenwood: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Ali Reza Fatehi: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The flop came {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, keeping Greenwood firm in the lead. While he improved on the {J-Clubs} turn, it also improved Fatehi since he picked up a flush draw. Yesterday, Greenwood busted the Main Event with jacks, this time he would win with the hand as the {9-Diamonds} completed the board.

Aldemir Wins a Small One

Niveau 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel opened the hijack for 3,000 and Koray Aldemir on the button three-bet to 9,000. Both blinds got out of the way, Thorel wasted no time calling.

Both checked on {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts} and the {7-Clubs} hit the turn. Thorel bet 14,000 and Aldemir called.

As the {9-Clubs} completed the board, Thorel thought for just a bit before checking. Aldemir instantly checked behind.

Thorel showed {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, the pot went to Aldemir who tabled {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

Chidwick Takes from Kurganov

Niveau 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Stefan Schillhabel's raise to 2,500 was called by Igor Kurganov and Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 12,500 out of the small blind. While Schillhabel quickly folded, Kurganov asked "How much do you have, like 90?" Chidwick replied "A little more, around 95," and that's when Kurganov called.

On the {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop, a continuation bet for 7,000 by Chidwick was called by Kurganov before a second barrel of 23,000 by the Brit on a turn of {A-Diamonds} shut down all further action.

Petrangelo Bests Kisacikoglu

Niveau 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, Orpen Kisacikoglu bet the {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop for 1,500 and was called by Nick Petrangelo from one seat over in the big blind. Kisacikoglu also bet the {3-Diamonds} turn for 2,500 followed by a call from Petrangelo before opting for a third bet of 7,600 on the {6-Hearts} river.

Petrangelo let the clock run down to 10 seconds and called to see Kisacikoglu briefly turn over {10-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a busted straight draw. Petrangelo had that beat with {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and said "I guess a raise would have worked, too." Stephen Chidwick joked back "as long as you call the three-bet."

Nitsche Wins First Hand After Sitting Down

Niveau 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Right after sitting down, Dominik Nitsche was in the big blind and called a raise by Quan Zhou to check the flop of {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Zhou bet 4,000 and was called before the {Q-Diamonds} appeared on the turn. Again Nitsche checked and subsequently called a bet of 6,600 by Zhou.

After the {2-Diamonds} river, both players checked and Nitsche announced an ace before rolling over the {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. That was good enough to win the pot, as Zhou sent his cards into the muck.

Fatehi Gets There, Wins a Big Pot From Dvoress

Niveau 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Ali Reza Fatehi opened the cutoff on the shorthanded table for 2,300 and big blind Daniel Dvoress called. Dvoress checked on {K-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Fatehi bet 2,500. Dvoress check-raised to 7,000 and Fatehi was quick to three-bet to 17,000. Dvoress called.

Dvoress checked on the {4-Clubs} turn and called as Fatehi bet 11,000.

The {J-Spades} completed the board and Dvoress checked again. Fatehi bet 24,500 and Dvoress went deep into the tank. He used a time bank card and eventually, with just a few seconds to spare, reluctantly tossed in a chip to indicate he was calling.

Fatehi showed {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Dvoress mucked.
