"Bad Timing" for Pollak

Niveau 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The action kicked off with a raise to 5,600 by Benjamin Pollak and Sam Greenwood from one seat over three-bet to 17,500. Pollak eyed the stack of the Canadian carefully before pushing forward his stack of T-5,000 chips and Greenwood quickly called all in.

Sam Greenwood: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Benjamin Pollak: {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

"Bad timing" sighed Pollak and saw the board run out {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, providing no help. Greenwood doubled for 78,800 and Pollak was left short with plenty of work ahead on the second bullet.

Two More Re-Entries; Kanit Chips Up

Niveau 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Along with Jean-Noel Thorel, Benjamin Pollak and Koray Aldemir also re-entered on their second bullet to boost the field further.

Mustapha Kanit helped himself back to starting stack after winning a pot against Dietrich Fast.

Kanit's raise to 5,500 was called by Fast in the big blind, who checked and called a bet of 4,500 on the {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop. The {10-Diamonds} turn was checked and Fast check-folded the {Q-Clubs} river to a bet of 22,000.

Palumbo Wins Three-Way All-in; Thorel Reenters

Niveau 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Rocco Palumbo
Rocco Palumbo

Jean-Noel Thorel had bet 25,000 on a {3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop and Rocco Palumbo moved all in for 95,300. Thorel immediately announced a call, however, John Juanda was yet to act behind Palumbo.

Juanda gave it some thought before calling, which technically meant Thorel's verbal declaration would stand as the action didn't change. The French genius didn't mind it and quickly put the rest of his chips in.

Rocco Palumbo: {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
John Juanda: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}

"Let's chop it up!," laughed Juanda, who went in with the best of it. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn, however, completed Palumbo's flush and left the others drawing dead, rendering the {7-Clubs} river moot. Thorel directly went for a reentry, Juanda was left with 10 big blinds.

Chidwick Doubles Through Kanit

Niveau 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Julian Thomas had just arrived and raised to 5,000. Stephen Chidwick moved all in for 58,600 in the small blind and Mustapha Kanit shoved over the top from the big blind, forcing out Thomas.

Stephen Chidwick: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Mustapha Kanit: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

Chidwick was in need of help and picked up a massive draw on the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop. The {J-Spades} turn locked up the double for him, making the {8-Spades} river a formality. Dietrich Fast also sat down on this very table right after.

Aldemir Left Short

Niveau 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Koray Aldemir's raise was called by Sergio Aido from one seat over and the duo saw a flop of {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Aldemir check-raised to 28,000 and called the shove of Aido for a total of 86,600.

Sergio Aido: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Koray Aldemir: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The {5-Hearts} turn and {6-Hearts} river were both blanks and Aido doubled, leaving Aldemir short. Since he was the next big blind and a new table opened, Aldemir was moved to another table and could not even win his chips back.

Benjamin Pollak was eliminated at the same time on a different table.
