Kisacikoglu Eliminated in Three-Way Clash

Niveau 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

Sam Greenwood and Orpen Kisacikoglu busted in quick succession over on table two and the exit of the latter was the result of a big three-way all in. PokerStars Team Pro Igor Kurganov had three-bet the button and no sooner did he do so, David Peters in the small blind announced all in. Orpen Kisacikoglu called all in for around 80,000 and Kurganov called it off with the second-biggest stack of the trio.

Orpen Kisacikoglu: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Igor Kurganov: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
David Peters: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop gave both Kurganov and Peters a set and Kisacikoglu went from best to worst hand. Neither the {3-Clubs} turn nor the {8-Clubs} river brought any change and Kisacikoglu headed to the rail. Kurganov doubled through Peters for 213,000 and suddenly jumped above half a million in chips.

Kurganov Leaves Dvoress Short

Niveau 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Igor Kurganov open-shoved 109,000 from the cutoff. It got folded to Daniel Dvoress in the big blind.

"I call. Let's gamble."

Igor Kurganov: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Daniel Dvoress: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

"What?!" laughed Dvoress. The {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} board stayed safe for Kurganov and he doubled up.

Up and Down for Greenwood

Niveau 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Hand 1

Sam Greenwood three-bet all in for his last 67,000 with the {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and Daniel Dvoress called with the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. "The eight is coming on the turn," Dvoress promised but the board ran out blank with the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.

Hand 2

Timothy Adams shoved for 80,000 from the cutoff and so did Greenwood from one seat over with the superior stack. While Greenwood already showed his {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, the cards of Adams were not yet revealed and the duo urged the dealer to keep them face down for a surprise showdown at the end. The other players on the table cheered on for that idea, but eventually Adams had to flip over his {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

The board of {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} provided the ace on the flop and Adams doubled.

Beresford and Luca Double; Reixach Busts

Niveau 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Ivan Luca's short stack grind saw him pick up the {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and he got the last 63,000 in with it, facing Vladimir Troyanovskiy with the {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. The board of {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} let the kicker play and Luca doubled.

In a battle big blind versus button, Conor Beresford was all in for his last 98,500 with the {A-Spades}{7-Spades} and Sergi Reixach on the button looked him up with the slightly superior stack and the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. The board of {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades} was a massive sweat, but Reixach failed to hit any of his outs.

Down to 12,500 he shoved the next hand over the top of an open raise to 11,000 by Mustapha Kanit and flipped over {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Kanit had the {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and that ended up as the winner.

Steve O'Dwyer Eliminated

Niveau 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Steve O'Dwyer and JC Alvarado got it all in preflop with nearly equal stacks of around 100,000.

Steve O'Dwyer: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
JC Alvarado: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}

Alvarado's pocket jacks held up on {8-Spades}{K-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, leaving O'Dwyer with just three big blinds. O'Dwyer posted his big blind, defended against Dietrich's Fast open, but check-folded on a {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop to leave himself with a mere blind behind.

In the next hand, O'Dwyer won with {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} against Fast's {A-Spades}{6-Spades}. However, there wasn't a comeback in the cards as he got it in with {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} against Yan Shing Tsang's {A-Spades}{4-Spades} shortly after. The board ran out {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{6-Spades} and O'Dwyer was out.
