River Check-Raise Makes for Huge Pot
David Peters opened under the gun for 27,000 and big blind Philipp Gruissem defended. Gruissem check-called 40,000 on the flop before both of them checked the turn.
So far, the pot wasn't all that big, but that would change on the river.
The completed the board and Gruissem checked again. Peters bet 115,000 and action was on Gruissem. The German high-roller tanked, needed some extra time and used a time bank chip to get it. After just a bit more, Gruissem check-raised to 375,000.
Peters needed some time as well but eventually called. Gruissem showed , the pot went to Peters who tabled .
