Emelyanov First One Out

Niveau 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Roman Emelyanov has become the first player to leave the tournament. Emelyanov cashed this event back in 2015, where he finished 15th for €77,900. The Russian has the option to do a re-entry up until the third level of the second day, still plenty of time to make up his mind.

Karlic and Finger Going Up

Niveau 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Dietrich Fast three-bet an open raise by Vladimir Troyanovskiy from 525 to 2,000 and Troyanovskiy called. On the {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop both players checked and Troyanovskiy check-folded the {3-Spades} turn to a bet worth 3,700. Troyanovskiy has already lost a decent portion of his stack, while Gerald Karlic in the seat next to Fast is off to a good start.

Martin Finger has even more than that. After a preflop raise and three-bet to 1,600 by Andrew Chen, Finger called and check-called a bet worth 1,600 on the {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop. On the {4-Spades} turn, Finger check-called a bet worth 4,400 and then bet the {10-Clubs} river for 8,300.

Chen tossed in a chip for the call and flashed one of his cards, then mucked when he was shown {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} by Finger.

Mustafov Can't Fold Out Silver

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

Adrian Mateos raised to 600 under the gun and blinds Fahredin Mustafov and Max Silver came along. All players checked the {Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. Silver bet 1,600 on the {J-Clubs} turn, Mateos folded, Mustafov check-raised to 5,000 and Silver called.

Mustafov bet 6,500 on the {K-Spades} river and Silver called after ten seconds. The Bulgarian briefly flashed {A-}{3-}, Silver showed {K-}{Q-} and took it down.

Winter is Having a Ball

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

In the previous hand, the board showed {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{K-Spades} and Sean Winter checked before Fahredin Mustafov bet 4,400. Winter check-raised to 16,000 from the cutoff, Mustafov then used one of his time banks. Ultimately, Winter forced a fold, showing the {6-Clubs}.

One hand later, Winter opened to 500 from the hijack and Mustafov three-bet to 2,000 from one seat over. He looked over to Winter and cracked a smile, as did other players at the table, and Winter called. Winter ended up check-calling the {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop for 2,000 and checked the {5-Hearts} turn as well. Mustafov now bet 5,000 and Winter check-raised to 16,000 once again.

Mustafov folded ... and was shown the {6-Clubs} again, causing more laughter at the table.

Nick Petrangelo then arrived at the table after just having signed up and said "Sean, what are you doing here? You didn't play any until this one?" which Winter confirmed, as he had just arrived here in Monte-Carlo.

Margereson Gets Value From Sontheimer

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a {J-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Scott Margereson bet 800 and Steffen Sontheimer was the only caller. Both players checked the {7-Diamonds} on the turn. Margereson bet 2,700 on the {A-Hearts} river and Sontheimer snapped it off.

Margereson showed {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Sontheimer mucked his hand.

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

Durnegger Takes From Kisacikoglu

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

Markus Durnegger already took down a 7,000-pot without showdown early on and just claimed another, this time against initial raiser Orpen Kisacikoglu on the cutoff. Durnegger in the big blind and his sole opponent checked the {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} turn and Durnegger then bet the {7-Diamonds} river for 1,250, which was pretty much exactly the size of the pot.

Kisacikoglu called and was shown {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} by the Austrian, which was good enough to win the pot.
