Charlie Carrel limped from the small blind and Isaac Haxton raised to 60,000 in the big blind. Carrel limp-raised to 250,000 and folded to the shove of Haxton.
Then, Mike Watson three-bet shoved into a raise to 50,000 by Sergio Aido to collect the pot without showdown. Fedor Holz did the same against David Peters when her got his last 333,000 in and Peters forfeited his invested 50,000.
Last but not least, Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 50,000 and Peters called in the big blind. On the flop, Peters check-called a bet of 50,000 before the turn was checked by both players. Peters bet the river for 225,000 and Kisacikoglu folded.
Sergio Aido raised to 50,000 and Jean-Noel Thorel moved all in for 134,000 from the small blind. Once the action folded back to Aido, he asked for a brief count and called.
Sergio Aido:
Jean-Noel Thorel:
Nothing much changed with the flop, but Thorel took the lead on the turn. However, the on the river restored the preflop order and Thorel headed to the rail.
In the last hand before the break, Christoph Vogelsang raised to 347,000 from the small blind for most of his stack. Rainer Kempe in the big blind announced "I will likely call, but I just want to double check," then indeed called all in for less.
Rainer Kempe:
Christoph Vogelsang:
The kept Kempe in the lead, but he had a huge sweat on the turn. A blank river let Kempe double for 230,000 and Vogelsang was left short.
From the hijack, Erik Seidel shoved for 93,000. Over on the button, Charlie Carrel three-bet to 175,000. From the button, Isaac Haxton thought about it for a bit before he announced all in for just about a million. The blinds folded and so did Carrel.
The first hand back from break, Isaac Haxton opened for 65,000 under the gun plus one. The action folded to Erik Seidel in the big blind and he pushed for 330,000. Haxton called.
Isaac Haxton:
Erik Seidel:
Seidel was on the verge of elimination but that all changed as hit the flop. Seidel was guaranteed the double up after the hit the turn. The on the river was there just for good measures.
Fedor Holz open-shoved once to claim the blinds and antes. Soon after he was in the small blind and Daniel Dvoress raised to 60,000 on the button. Holz shoved for 370,000 in the small blind and Dvoress called.
Daniel Dvoress:
Fedor Holz:
"That's good," Holz said and tapped the table once the cards were turned over. It didn't get much better for him on the flop, as some of his outs were gone. The turn was a blank, but a magic river let the German wunderkind double back into contention.
