ElkY privé de finale, Lavrentiy Ni chipleader à 6 left

Niveau 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Lavrentiy Ni

Pavel Shirshikov opened to 60,000 from early position and Daniyar Aubakirov moved all in for 335,000. Seyed Ghavam flat-called on the button and Shirshikov folded.

Aubakirov: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Shirshikiov: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The flop wasn't a good one for Aubakirov coming king-high with {2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. However the {9-Clubs} on the turn gave Aubakirov a flush-draw. However, the river was the {q-Hearts}. It gave Aubakirov a set but it was too little too late and he was eliminated in 7th place for $86,523.

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} with an Ace in the window to shoot Ghavam into the lead where he stayed.

Kakhmazov was out in 8th but collected RUB 3,540,000 which is $62,636

Said Butba open-jammed all-in for 200,000 from early position, getting a call from Lavrentiy Ni in the cutoff.

Butba: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Ni: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

A classic race was underway for Butba's tournament life. The dealer tapped the table and fanned out a {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} board. Butba received zero help from the board and fell in ninth place for RUB 2,865,000 (approx. USD $50,693).

Oleg Chebotarev moved all in from under the gun and it folded round to small blind Lavrentiy Ni who moved all in. Nadar Kakhmazov was in the big blind and he called to make it a three-way all in.

Oleg Chebotarev: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Lavrentiy Ni: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Nadar Kakhmazov: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {10-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Lakhov: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Bubnov: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Vitaliy Li

The action started with a raise to 46,000 by Pavel Shirshikov in the cutoff and Vitaliy Li three-bet to 120,000 on the button. Daniyar Aubakirov four-bet to 275,000 in the small blind, which he had done so twice earlier already, and the action was back on Shirshikov.

He gave it some thought and the clock was requested on him. It was not enforced just yet, though, and when the one minute countdown was about to start, Shirshikov five-bet to 477,000. Li quickly announced all in and Aubakirov sighed, but folded in a few seconds. Shirshikov snap-called and the cards were tabled.

Pavel Shirshikov: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}
Vitaliy Li: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

The {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{8-Spades} left Li in even more desperate shape, as he needed running kings for quads to survive. It was all over after the {8-Hearts} turn, making the {5-Hearts} river a formality. The stacks were counted and Shirshikov had 1,160,000, while Li was covered by just 10,000 to hit the rail in 12th place. Li receives RUB 2,055,000 for his efforts, which equals around $36,361.

It folded around to short-stacked Bertrand Grospellier in the small blind and moved all in for 160,000 or his last seven big blinds. Dmitry Vitkind called in the big blind.

Grospellier: {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Vitkind: {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The flop was {7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} but the turn was the {10-Diamonds} giving Vitkind the lead. Grospellier still had some outs to a straight, but the {9-Diamonds} on the river wasn't one of them and he was eliminated in 13th place for $36,361.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy raised to 45,000 from the hijack and Junya Yamada three-bet all in for 211,000 from the button. Dmitry Vitkind then four-bet all in himself from the big blind and Troyanovskiy folded.

Vitkind: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Yamada: {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

It wasn't a good flop for Yamada coming {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{k-Hearts}. There was even less help with the {q-Clubs} on the turn meaning Yamada was drawing dead and the {8-Spades} was too little too late, meaning Yamada is eliminated in 14th Place ($32,114)

Chris Moneymaker moved all in from under the gun for his last 10 big blinds.

Daniyar Aubakirov called from mid position and it got to big blind and chip leader Pavel Shirshikov who winced and then folded showing his {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

Moneymaker was delighted with that as he tabled his {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and was in a race against the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} of Aubakirov.

The flop was {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and Moneymaker was liking his chances.

The turn was the {j-Clubs} and Moneymaker imploered the dealer to keep the river under a nine.

The river though was the {a-Clubs} and Moneymaker was eliminated in 15th spot for $32,114.
