Sicconi Soars Late on Day 1a
Niveau 10
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
The completed board of Q♥5♦10♠2♥7♥ had already been dealt when the action was caught. Nicolae Tomi sat in the big blind and made a bet of 25,000 into the sizable pot of 85,000.
His opponent was Alice Sicconi in the cutoff, who went all in for 84,000. Toma spent some time in the tank but ultimately decided he could not fold and made the call.
Sicconi tabled K♥9♥ for a rivered flush, cracking the A♦A♣ of Toma and being awarded with a monstrous pot.
