Russo Climbs Further, Eliminates Grasso
Niveau 29
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Salvatore Russo had raised preflop and Daniele Grasso had defended his big blind when the latter checked on the 6♦4♦9♣ flop. Russo continued for 160,000, which Grasso raised to 400,000.
Russo then put Grasso all-in for 1,200,000, and Grasso quickly called for his tournament life.
Daniele Grasso: 10♦7♦
Salvatore Russo: 8♥8♦
The 9♥ turn removed Grasso's gutshot as Russo would make a full house, and the J♥ river was not a ten or diamond, leaving Grasso condemned to the rail.
