The tournament attracted 173 entries from 124 unique players to the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool with 20 of them cashing and making it through to Day 2. As soon as the tournament started, there was no shortage of action. Astedt doubled up through "Serebity_p" to make him the table chip leader before Patrick "pads1161" Leonard busted as the absolute short stack of the day.

Viktor "papan9_p$" Ustimov, Pieter "XMorphineX" Aerts, "Serebity_p", "mmetsla", and "girafganger7" all busted in the first level too. "3DTemujiN", "Aleks Better", "TNDynamite", and Jens "Knossi" Knossalla were all eliminated before Sergei "Futti18" Koliakov became the final table bubble when he fell to Ruivo.

At that point, Alexandros "Pwndidi" Theologis and "bayaraa1002" were in the lead but Rudolph quickly took it away when he shoved on "Pwndidi". Ruivo claimed another bounty when he took out Dimov to leave Astedt and Tremzin as the two shortest stacks on the table. Several double-ups happened while Rudolph kept increasing his chip lead.

Ruivo then tripled up to leave Igor "Garrin4e" Yaroshevskyy short who then lost their remaining chips to Rudolph. But Ruivo couldn't keep hold of those chips as he lost them to Tremzin next. Astedt jumped towards the top of the counts behind Rudolph when he took out Theologis and then overtook him and didn't look back.

Tremzin was the shortest stack but won every all-in from that point onwards to stick around while Astedt kept the pressure on the remaining players. "bayaraa1002" busted before the final break of the day in which Rudolph gone in with just over a big blind. He managed to double up but then did bust to Astedt shortly after with Day 1 chip leader "wesoly78" gone in third place.

Gleb Tremzin
Gleb Tremzin finished as the runner-up for $120,898

The heads-up battle was a quick one with no significant hands occurring until the 23rd hand when Tremzin defended after Astedt had raised. The eight-nine-ten flop gave Tremzin top pair who decided to check-shove when Astedt continued with a bet and was called by Astedt who had hit two pair with the ten-nine in his hand. The turn pair the board up for Tremzin to pick up two outs to chop the pot and try again but he bricked the river.
