Hasson Gets Back on Track

Niveau 33 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

"hateblondies" opened to 320,000 from the hijack and Gary "quiditbear" Hasson put in a three-bet of 799,999 that was quickly called by "hateblondies".

The flop rolled out {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, action checked to Hasson, he bet 639,199 and "hateblondies" check-raised enough to put Hasson all-in. The Belgium native called for his 2,611,475 stack and the two tabled their cards.

Gary "quiditbear" Hasson: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
"hateblondies": {k-Spades}{10-Spades}

Hasson was in the lead and the {7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} runout did not change a thing as he took down the pot for a complete double.

"offQbert45" Starting to Pull Away

Niveau 31 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

"gizzetti" opened to 220,000 from middle position and "offQbert45" shoved all in, totaling 12,929,282. "gizzetti" snapped for their last 2,973,528 and the two tabled their hands.

"gizzetti": {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
"offQbert45": {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

The flop was unfortunate for "gizzetti" when an ace-high board of {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} peeled off. A {10-Hearts} turn and {3-Clubs} river didn't alter anything and "offQbert45" secured the pot thanks to a flopped ace.

All 135 players are now getting at least a $1,397 payday on top of whatever bounties they have already accumulated. But all players will be looking to take down this event for the $97,526 first-place prize and bragging rights. The eventual winner will also be the only player to retain their bounty, adding another level of stress to the heads-up match.

Day 2 will start Tuesday, September 22 at 1:05 ET. The blinds will remain at 20 minutes in length, with all players getting a five-minute break 55 minutes past every hour. The day will not end until a winner has been crowned, taking down the title and all of that cold hard cash.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be bringing you all of the action as the remainder of the tournament unfolds, so tune in tomorrow!
