A short-stacked Roy Bitton jammed with J♥7♦ into the K♠J♠ of Rudolf Fourie and found no help on the A♣5♣2♦2♠3♠ runout.
Moments later, Eben Lottering was at risk with 3♣3♦ for around 55,000 and looked up by Braam Van Huyssteen with the dominating Q♥Q♠.
The superior pair reigned supreme throughout the 5♦2♦2♣A♥5♥ board to reduce the field to the last 16 contenders.
